Martin Dunphy: Chairman
From Ireland, Martin has worked in the US, Asia and Europe in senior management positions in the financial services, telecommunications, and insurance industries. He has held positions of Chief Representative, Business Development Director and was National Sales Manager of China for the world's largest medical assistance company before relocating to London.
Martin is a founding partner in Marlin Financial Services based in the UK, which has 30 employees and manages over £500M of debt. He also founded Marlin Capital Europe, it's debt purchasing sister company, in 2002.
He has published several articles on the UK debt purchase market and is a regular speaker/moderator at credit conferences in the UK and Europe. He has previously headed start-up operations in China, Taiwan and the UK. He is a Board Member of Credit Guarantee Corporation, among others.
He is an active member of several charity organizations in developing countries, including The Kham Aid Foundation (www.khamaid.org) and regularly participates in fundraising marathon races and mountain biking expeditions. (www.rideforgreen.org) He holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Marketing and an MBA from George Mason University in Virginia. He speaks Mandarin Chinese.
David

As
Managing Director, David is responsible for the
overall management of the company with particular
emphasis on finance and support systems. His tasks
include establishing and controlling the company
budget, investigating new strategies to improve
return and ensuring that a first class support
service is provided to internal and external
customers.
Prior
to joining MFS, David spent 6 years in public
accounting, qualifying with the Association of
Chartered Certified Accountants. In 2000 he joined
Credit Acceptance Corporation UK Limited as
Financial Controller with responsibility for all
aspects of financial reporting and later became
Finance Director and Deputy Managing Director with
the responsibility for all support functions within
the company.
Tariq Khan: Company Secretary
Tariq Khan is a member of the Bar of England and Wales. Following a period of litigation practice, he moved his legal career in-house in 2000, initially being involved with the sale of an advertising company to a major broadcaster, following which he provided a broad range of commercial, consumer and insolvency law advice to major UK consumer finance providers First National Bank and GE Capital. During his time with GE Capital he also negotiated and drafted a variety of key transactional agreements, including in relation to significant-value credit supply deals and debt sales, and headed litigation that over-turned forty years of case law in the insolvency arena.
With his experience in litigation, commercial, contract, consumer credit, debt collection and insolvency laws and skills in negotiation and drafting, Tariq joined us in October 2006 as MFS's parent Group Director of Legal & Business Affairs. He will oversee the group's growing litigation department, handle contract negotiations and drafting and maintain our strong compliance culture, as well as advising us through our significant expansion plans.
